De’Longhi MultiFry & small kitchen appliance repair
De’Longhi MultiFry not heating or paddle not turning, kettle not boiling? We repair De’Longhi small kitchen appliances in Riga. 3-month warranty.
A De’Longhi MultiFry that no longer heats, a paddle that will not turn, a display that does not respond, or a kettle that switches off before boiling — these are the typical faults that bring De’Longhi small kitchen appliances to our bench. We work across the full De’Longhi small-appliance range: MultiFry and Idealfry air fryers, Icona and Active Line kettles, Icona and Distinta toasters, and Roto-fryer deep fryers. Every repair begins with a diagnosis in your presence, and we agree the quote before any work starts.
MultiFry and Idealfry faults usually involve the heating element, the lower paddle-drive motor and gearbox, the upper hot-air fan or the control board. On kettles and deep fryers the culprit is most often the element, a thermal fuse after a dry-boil event, a bimetal thermostat or the base contact. Hard Riga water accelerates limescale build-up in kettles, so regular descaling significantly extends their life.
We are honest about repair economics: a MultiFry or Idealfry with a failed motor or element is almost always cheaper to repair than to replace, whereas a cheap toaster with one dead element sometimes costs more to repair than a new one — and we say so right after the diagnosis. Appliances are accepted by in-person drop-off only. All repairs carry a 3-month warranty; if you decide not to proceed after the diagnosis, we return the appliance with no obligation.

De’Longhi MultiFry and Idealfry repair
The De’Longhi MultiFry and Idealfry are air fryers with two main working assemblies: an upper heating element with a fan that circulates hot air, and a lower motor with a gearbox that turns the stirring paddle. The most common faults follow from this layout — a burnt-out element (the appliance turns the paddle but does not heat), a worn or seized paddle-drive motor and gearbox (heats but does not turn), a noisy or stalled fan from worn bearings, and control board or membrane-panel failures where the appliance does not respond to its buttons. We use a multimeter to check element resistance and thermal-fuse continuity, strip the drive assembly to inspect the gearbox gears, and diagnose the control board at component level.
We replace only what has actually failed — an individual element, motor, gearbox gear or board component, rather than a whole assembly. After the repair we run a full test cycle to confirm the appliance heats, turns and shuts off correctly. MultiFry and Idealfry repairs are almost always economical, because a comparable new unit costs far more than a typical part replacement. We do not refinish coating damage (a scratched pan) — we are upfront about that.
De’Longhi kettles, toasters and other small kitchen appliances
De’Longhi kettles (the Icona, Active Line and Distinta ranges) run on a relatively simple but precise electrical circuit — heating element, bimetal thermostat, thermal fuse, lid microswitch and a base contact group with a central pin for 360° rotation. When a kettle stops working, in most cases only one of these parts is at fault. A frequent issue is a dry-boil event, after which the thermal fuse trips and breaks the circuit permanently, or a stuck thermostat that stops the kettle switching off after boiling. The main enemy of a kettle in Latvia is hard water: limescale on the element lengthens the boil time and eventually destroys it, so descaling every 1–2 months is the cheapest prevention.
De’Longhi toasters (Icona, Distinta) typically need dead elements, the carriage latch mechanism or the switch replaced, while deep fryers (Roto-fryer) need the thermostat, element or basket drive. We diagnose all small kitchen appliances at component level with a multimeter and replace only the failed part. We are honest about economics: if a cheap appliance's repair cost approaches the price of a new one, we say so before any work. All repairs carry a 3-month warranty.
