3-month warranty

Beko is one of the world's largest household appliance manufacturers, owned by the Turkish Arçelik group — the same group that owns Grundig. Although Beko is best known for washing machines, refrigerators and dishwashers, the brand also produces televisions — the Crystal TV series and other LED models that are sold in the Baltic market as affordable everyday sets. Beko televisions are often built on the same Arçelik platforms used by Grundig, which means their internal architecture is well documented and spare parts are available. At the SATER service centre, located at Silmaču iela 6 in Riga, we repair Beko televisions with the same care as any other brand — since 1993, when our workshop began operating in the former workshop No. 2 of the Elektrons factory. Today we service every Beko TV model, including the B43 L 6532, B50 L 8762 and the Crystal TV series. Our engineers carry out component-level diagnostics with professional test equipment — from checking electrolytic capacitors and MOSFET transistors on the power board to analysing the SoC and eMMC on the main board. During the repair we inspect the LED backlight strips, T-Con board, HDMI ports, Wi-Fi module and audio output stage. Every repair carries a 3-month warranty on the work performed and the parts installed, and we always agree the estimate before starting any work. Our 186 Google reviews with an average rating of 4.3 stars confirm that Riga residents have trusted us with household electronics repair for decades.

Popular models we repair

  • Beko B43 L 6532
  • Beko B50 L 8762
  • Beko Crystal TV series

Common problems we fix

  • LED backlight strip failure — screen dark, sound present, faint image visible with a flashlight
  • Power board failure — TV will not turn on or shuts off after a few seconds
  • Main board crash — TV will not boot, freezes on the logo or locks up during use
  • HDMI port damage — no signal, black screen when connecting an external device
  • Sound but no image — LVDS cable or T-Con board signal fault
  • Remote control issues — IR receiver unresponsive or remote commands ignored
  • Wi-Fi connectivity problems — unstable connection or unable to find the network

Detailed problem guides

Pick a symptom — we walk through the causes, what you can check yourself, and when to bring it in.

Beko Crystal TV LED backlight and power board repair

The Beko Crystal TV series and other Beko LED models — the B43 L 6532 and B50 L 8762 — use direct-lit or edge-lit LED backlighting behind the liquid-crystal panel. After several years of use the LED elements begin to degrade — brightness drops, and eventually one or more elements stop working. Because the LED strips are wired in series, even a single failed element can extinguish an entire strip or even an entire backlight group. The symptom is the classic one: the TV turns on, sound is present, but the screen is completely dark — a bright flashlight held at an angle reveals a very faint image. SATER engineers open the panel, carefully remove the diffusion and optical films and test each LED strip on a regulated current source to pinpoint the failed elements. We replace the full set of strips — not just the dead ones, because the survivors have been running at increased current and their lifespan is nearly exhausted. After reassembly we check the LED driver output current and voltage and, where necessary, replace driver components.

Power-board failure is the second most common Beko TV problem. It presents as a complete failure to turn on (standby LED does not light), a momentary start followed by immediate shutdown, or erratic operation — the TV switches off after a random interval. The main cause is ageing electrolytic capacitors whose ESR has risen to an unacceptable level. We test every capacitor with an ESR meter, replace them with industrial-quality 105 °C components and measure every output rail on an oscilloscope. We also check the power MOSFETs, the PFC controller and the bridge rectifier — if any of these has failed, the TV can appear "dead" even though the main board is healthy. After the repair the television is tested for at least one hour continuously to confirm long-term stability.

Beko TV main board diagnostics and component-level repair

The main board of a Beko television is the "brain" of the device — it combines the SoC processor, RAM, eMMC storage (on Smart TV models), HDMI controller, audio processor, Wi-Fi module and several voltage regulators. When the main board fails, the symptoms can be extremely varied: the TV may refuse to boot at all, freeze on the logo screen, lock up during use, lose Wi-Fi or stop responding to the remote. SATER engineers begin with a systematic diagnostic rather than blind part swapping. The first step is measuring the supply voltages on the main board — if any rail is unstable or missing, the problem may lie in the power board rather than the main board. Next we check clock signals, the reset line and the eMMC chip state with a programmer.

HDMI port diagnostics is a separate discipline — on Beko TVs the HDMI ports can fail after an ESD event, a lightning strike or ordinary mechanical wear. We desolder the faulty port, check the ESD protection diodes and the HDMI controller IC, and solder on a new port with the correct specification. Wi-Fi module problems are often unrelated to the module itself failing — the culprit can be a poor antenna contact, an unstable supply voltage or a firmware glitch. We check the entire chain systematically: the antenna connection, the supply rail, module operation and firmware version. IR receiver problems are usually caused by an overstressed or failed IR element — we replace it and verify the IR signal path to the main-board processor. After every repair we run a full functional check — all ports, Wi-Fi, picture quality, sound, remote — and return the television with a 3-month warranty.
