Metabo 18V LiHD (Lithium High Density) is the German manufacturer's flagship platform for high-current discharge and the Cordless Alliance System (CAS) ecosystem, where Mafell, Eisenblätter, Rothenberger and other professional brands share interchangeable batteries. After 500–800 cycles capacity drops, the BMS locks out the pack following a deep discharge or a temperature fault, and the charging contacts oxidise over time. We service the full LiHD line (625369 4.0 Ah, 625367 5.5 Ah, 625596 7.0 Ah, 625598 8.0 Ah, plus the 10.0 Ah packs) and the compact 12V Li-Power range. Older Metabo 18V Li-Power packs (lower-current than LiHD) remain rebuildable, and the newer LiHD packs stay backward-compatible with those tools. Individual NiMH and NiCd Metabo packs are rebuilt on request when the original tool is worth keeping. The process: per-cell diagnostic, replacement of every cell with high-current Li-ion that matches LiHD peak-current requirements, a new BMS board, spot-welded interconnects and a full load test. For CAS packs we add an extra verification of the communication protocol so the rebuilt pack works correctly with every alliance brand's tools. A rebuild costs 40–60 % less than a new OEM Metabo pack and carries our 6-month warranty. Batteries are accepted and returned in person only.

Metabo LiHD and the CAS system
Metabo LiHD (Lithium High Density), launched in 2014, is the platform for the most demanding professional tools: large angle grinders, circular saws, hammer drills and the cordless construction compressor. LiHD packs use high-current 18650 and 21700 Li-ion cells in a 5S configuration with the parallel cell count tuned to the rated capacity (4.0 to 10.0 Ah). That is what enables the 100+ A peak discharge needed by the 18V W 18 LTX 230 angle grinder, for example.
CAS (Cordless Alliance System) is an alliance in which Metabo plus 30+ other professional brands share interchangeable batteries. Our rebuilt Metabo LiHD pack will also power Mafell, Eisenblätter, Rothenberger, Steinel, Starmix, Birchmeier and other CAS-alliance tools. During a rebuild we preserve the communication protocol and BMS compatibility with the entire CAS ecosystem so the pack is recognised exactly like an original.
LiHD pack rebuild process
A LiHD pack rebuild starts with a full pack diagnostic: per-cell voltage, internal resistance and actual capacity under load. We then disassemble the pack, desolder every original cell and replace them with fresh high-current Li-ion cells matched to the peak current and capacity of the specific pack.
A new BMS board is fitted with proper overcharge, deep-discharge, cell-balancing and thermal protection. CAS compatibility is verified by connecting the rebuilt pack to a test tool and checking communication. The final step is a full charge/discharge cycle under real load, measuring actual capacity and peak current. The rebuilt pack often outperforms the original because we use latest-generation cells. Battery work warranty — 6 months.
