In Jura coffee machines the brew unit is fixed and cannot be removed from the outside — unlike many other manufacturers. This means that servicing and repairing the unit requires opening the machine, a task that should only be performed by a qualified technician. The most common Jura brew unit problem is a stuck drainage valve that prevents the unit from reaching the brewing position. Symptoms include the machine attempting to brew but producing no coffee or very weak flow, accompanied by an error code. Our technicians disassemble the brew unit, clean the valve mechanism, replace the seal ring kit and lubricate all moving parts.

The thermoblock is an aluminium heating element that instantly heats water to 92–96 °C for brewing or to steam temperature for milk frothing. Scale narrows the water channels and reduces heat transfer, resulting in lukewarm coffee. In severe cases the thermoblock can become completely blocked, triggering a "Fill Water" error or an air lock. We perform professional descaling or, if the buildup is too dense, replace the thermoblock entirely.

Jura coffee machines feature high-quality steel or ceramic conical burrs that ensure an even grind. Over time the burrs can lose calibration — coffee is ground too fine (resulting in extremely slow flow and excessively bitter taste) or too coarse (fast flow, watery coffee with no aroma). Our technicians adjust the burr gap, clean the grinding chamber of accumulated coffee oils and dust, and if the burrs are worn, replace them with new ones. After calibration we run a test brew to verify optimal extraction time and flavour.

Air lock in the water system is a frequent issue, especially after prolonged inactivity or fully emptying the water tank. Air enters the water line and the pump cannot build the required pressure. We flush the system, bleed the air and verify pump performance with a pressure gauge. If the pump is worn, we replace it. All repairs carry a 3-month warranty, and we always give an honest assessment of repair viability before starting work.
