The SATER service centre at Silmaču iela 6, Riga, has been repairing coffee machines since 1993. Our technicians work with every major brand popular in Latvian homes and offices: De'Longhi, Jura, Nespresso, Philips and Saeco, Bosch (including Tassimo and VeroCup), the Siemens EQ series and the Miele CM series. Whether you have a compact capsule machine or a fully automatic espresso unit with an integrated milk system, the diagnostic and repair principles are all familiar to us. The most common faults customers bring in are a jammed or slipping brew group, a scaled-up thermoblock that produces lukewarm coffee and slow flow, a worn ULKA or Invensys pump with pressure loss, a blocked milk frother or Cappuccinatore system, grinder calibration drift, and control-board error codes on the display. Every repair begins with a thorough diagnosis at our workshop, and we agree on the cost before any work starts. All repairs carry a 3-month warranty. For each of the seven main brands we maintain a dedicated page with more detail on typical faults, models and repair specifics — De'Longhi Magnifica S and PrimaDonna Soul, Jura E8 and Z10, Nespresso Vertuo and Lattissima, Philips 5400 LatteGo and Saeco Xelsis, Bosch VeroCup and Tassimo, Siemens EQ.6 and EQ.9, Miele CM series. Our heritage traces back to workshop No. 2 of the Soviet-era Elektrons factory, and those decades of experience let us handle non-standard cases too. Call +371 67377002 or bring your coffee machine to Silmaču iela 6.

Pick a symptom — we walk through the causes, what you can check yourself, and when to bring it in.
Coffee machine brew group and hydraulic system repair
The brew group is the heart of every automatic espresso machine: it compresses the ground coffee, hot water is forced through it at 9–15 bar, and after each cycle the group ejects the spent puck into the waste tray. De'Longhi, Philips, Saeco, Bosch and Siemens use a removable brew group that users can clean at home, while Jura and Miele use a built-in unit that requires service cleaning. Over time, coffee oils and fine particles build up inside the unit, rubber seals wear out and the mechanism starts to jam or leak.
Our technicians disassemble the group, clean every surface in an ultrasonic bath, replace worn O-rings and lubricate moving parts with food-safe silicone grease. If the gear mechanism or motor drive is damaged, we fit a new original or compatible unit. The hydraulic system includes the thermoblock, pump, solenoid valves and connecting hoses — leaks most often come from aged seals. We locate the leak, replace the seals and pressure-test the whole circuit with a gauge to confirm it is fully sealed. All work carries a 3-month warranty.
Automatic coffee machine electronics and calibration
Modern coffee machines are effectively computers with plumbing: the control board manages the pump, thermoblock temperature, grinder motor, milk pump rhythm and the NTC temperature sensors. When the board starts throwing error codes, stops responding to buttons or shuts down on its own, we diagnose it at component level — checking voltage regulators, MOSFET transistors, relays and connector joints. Often the fault is not the entire board but a single worn component that can be replaced.
Grinder calibration is a topic of its own: when the grind setting no longer matches the bean type (the shot runs too fast or too slow), the grinder chamber may need cleaning and the step counter a reset. We also perform mechanical cleaning of the milk system — Cappuccinatore, LatteGo, One Touch and the Jura milk pumps, where proteins and fats form hard deposits that prevent foam from building up. After the repair we run a full test cycle — espresso, Americano, cappuccino — to make sure the machine performs like new.
