Metabo LiHD / CAS battery rebuild
Metabo LiHD (Li-Ion High Density) battery packs are among the highest-capacity packs on the power tool market, yet after 2–4 years of active use the cells inevitably degrade: capacity drops, the pack drains quickly or refuses to charge at all. The charge indicator on the housing may show a full charge, but the tool shuts down after just a few minutes of work — a clear sign that one or more cells have deteriorated and need replacing.
We fully disassemble the battery housing, test each cell individually, replace degraded cells with new SONY, SAMSUNG or MOLICEL cells of equivalent or higher capacity, re-solder the contact strips, and recalibrate the BMS (Battery Management System). After reassembly we run a full charge/discharge cycle to verify real-world capacity. The CAS (Cordless Alliance System) platform means Metabo batteries are cross-compatible with tools from other manufacturers — we account for this when selecting cells so the rebuilt pack works correctly with all compatible devices. Battery cell replacement carries a 6-month warranty.
Metabo angle grinder and rotary hammer repair
Metabo W and WEV series angle grinders are the workhorses of construction sites and workshops across Latvia. The most common faults include: Marathon motor brush wear (manifested as sparking and power loss), Vario-Tacho-Constamatic electronic module failure (speed cannot be adjusted or fluctuates), bevel gear wear in the gearbox (noise, vibration, jerking), and spindle bearing failure.
