SATER service centre has been repairing Bosch ovens in Riga since 1993 — over 30 years of continuous operation at the same address: Silmaču iela 6, LV-1012. Our specialisation covers every current Bosch built-in oven range: from budget Serie 2 models to the flagship Serie 8 with pyrolytic cleaning and steam cooking. Decades of hands-on practice have given us a deep understanding of each series' design specifics — we know which heating elements fail most often, where door hinges typically break, how the thermostat behaves after 5–7 years of use, and why the pyrolytic cleaning lock can jam in the closed position. Repairs are carried out at the component level: we diagnose electronic control boards, replace failed relays, NTC temperature sensors, upper and lower circuit heating elements, convection fan motors, and hinge mechanisms. Before starting any work, the customer receives an honest cost estimate. If the repair is not economically viable, we say so directly. All completed work carries a 3-month warranty. Over 186 Google reviews with a 4.3-star average confirm the quality of our service. Bring your Bosch oven to Silmaču iela 6 — we will handle any fault.

Common problems we fix
- Bottom heating element burned out — visible break in the coil, oven only heats from the top
- Thermostat drift — temperature overshoots by 30–50 °C, baked goods burn
- Oven door hinge spring snapped — door won't stay closed
- Pyrolytic cleaning door lock mechanism jammed — door won't open after the cycle
- Convection fan motor bearing worn — unusual noise during heating
- Oven light socket corroded — bulb flickers or has no contact
- Control board relay stuck — heating element stays on continuously
- Catalytic panel coating deteriorated — walls no longer self-clean

Bosch oven heating element and thermostat repair
Heating elements are the most heavily loaded components in any oven. Bosch Serie 4 and Serie 6 models use three main circuits: a bottom heater for conventional cooking, a top grill element, and a ring heating element that works together with the convection fan. Each is rated for a specific service life, but intensive use or mains voltage surges can cause the coil to burn out. The visual sign is a visible break or burn mark on the element. We remove the damaged element, source a compatible replacement from the Bosch parts catalogue, and install it with resistance and insulation checks.
The oven thermostat controls the heating temperature by switching elements on and off as the set point is reached. Over the years, the thermostat contact group wears, leading to temperature drift — the oven overshoots by 30–50 °C or, conversely, fails to reach the target temperature. We test the thermostat with a multimeter, compare readings against a reference thermometer placed inside the cavity, and replace the thermostat if necessary. All work carries a 3-month warranty.
Bosch steam oven and pyrolytic cleaning system diagnostics
Bosch steam ovens in the CSG and HRG ranges feature a built-in steam generator that injects steam during baking to achieve a crisp crust and even cooking. The main issue with the steam generator is limescale: mineral deposits block the water circuit and reduce steam output. We fully disassemble the steam generator, remove deposits by mechanical and chemical means, check the condition of the water inlet valve and O-ring seals. If the valve does not seal properly or the gasket has lost its elasticity, we replace them.
The pyrolytic cleaning system in Bosch Serie 8 ovens heats the cavity to 480 °C, turning food residue to ash. Before the cycle begins, an electromechanical lock secures the door. A typical fault is failure of the lock solenoid or thermal safety relay, which can leave the door locked after the cycle or, conversely, prevent the lock from engaging so pyrolysis will not start. We diagnose the specific component, replace the solenoid or relay, and test the full pyrolytic cleaning cycle. The repair takes 3–5 working days; parts are sourced from Bosch's European suppliers.
