SATER service centre has been repairing Bosch induction and ceramic hobs in Riga since 1993 — over 30 years of hands-on experience at the same address: Silmaču iela 6, LV-1012. We specialise in hob electronics and work at the component level: replacing power IGBT transistors, repairing and re-soldering induction coil drivers, restoring touch control panels, replacing ceramic glass, and diagnosing and repairing power supply boards. Our history traces back to workshop No. 2 of the Soviet-era "Elektrons" factory, and over the decades we have built deep expertise across the full range of Bosch hobs — from compact Serie 4 models to top-end FlexInduction Serie 8 units with zone-linking capability. We service models PXX975DC1E, PIE631FB1E, PXY875KE1E, PKE611D17E, PIF645BB1E, PVS831FB5E and others. Before starting any work, the customer receives an honest cost estimate. If the repair is not economically viable, we say so directly and return the appliance with no obligation. All completed work carries a 3-month warranty. Over 186 Google reviews with a 4.3-star average confirm the quality of our service. Bring your Bosch hob to Silmaču iela 6 — we will sort out any fault.
Popular models we repair
- Bosch PXX975DC1E (FlexInduction)
- Bosch PIE631FB1E

Common problems we fix
- IGBT power transistor failure on one zone — zone does not heat while the rest work normally
- FlexInduction zone pairing malfunction — paired zones work independently, linking will not activate
- Touch control panel unresponsive (moisture ingress beneath the glass)
- Ceramic glass cracked from thermal shock — crack from hot cookware or spilled liquid
- Pan detection sensor failure — zone blinks and displays error E
- Cooling fan dead — hob overheats and shuts down with an error
- Relay board failure — zone will not turn off when cookware is removed
- Power supply board capacitor failure — hob will not power on or runs erratically

Bosch FlexInduction IGBT and power board repair
Bosch induction hobs with FlexInduction technology — PXX and PXY series — allow two adjacent zones to be linked into a single large heating area for oversized cookware. The electronic heart of these hobs is a set of power IGBT transistors (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors) that convert mains voltage into high-frequency current for the induction coils. IGBT modules are the most common point of failure: overheating due to inadequate cooling, mains voltage spikes, or natural wear after 5–8 years of heavy use. The symptom is straightforward — one zone stops heating while the rest continue to work normally.
We test each IGBT transistor with an oscilloscope and multimeter, identify the exact failed module, and replace it. In parallel we check gate drivers, current sensors, and resonance capacitors — an IGBT blowout often triggers a chain reaction that damages adjacent components. On FlexInduction hobs we also verify the zone-linking switching logic; if the Flex function does not work after an IGBT swap, the cause may lie in the control processor or its firmware. Component-level repair costs a fraction of replacing the entire power module. All work carries a 3-month warranty.
Bosch ceramic glass replacement and touch control diagnostics
The ceramic glass surface on a Bosch hob is not just protective glass — it is a functional component: beneath it sit capacitive touch electrodes (for control), infrared heaters (on ceramic PKE models), and induction coils. Ceramic glass cracking from thermal shock is a common issue: hot cookware placed on a cold surface, ice-cold water spilled on a heated hob, or an accidental knock with a heavy object. Operating a hob with cracked glass is strictly unsafe. We order original glass through BSH suppliers and carry out the replacement with full re-sealing and testing of every zone after installation.
The touch control panel on Bosch hobs works on a capacitive principle — electrodes beneath the glass detect changes in capacitance when a finger touches the surface. Problems arise when moisture enters beneath the glass seal (cooking condensation), when ribbon-cable contacts oxidise, or when the electrodes themselves are damaged by overheating. Symptoms include a completely unresponsive panel, phantom self-activation (ghost touches), or selective response to some buttons while ignoring others. We inspect the seal, clean and reconnect the ribbon cable, and replace the sensor module if necessary. In most cases the problem is resolved without replacing the entire control panel assembly.
