Electrolux and AEG service in Riga
Electrolux and AEG appliance service in Riga after warranty: SteamBake, EHI/EIV IGBT modules, BPK pyrolytic locks, thermocouples.
SATER provides Electrolux service and AEG repair in Riga after warranty. Electrolux SteamBake and AEG SteamCrisp ovens, EHI/EIV and AEG MaxiSense induction hobs, BPK series pyrolytic ovens, UltimateTaste coffee machines — these platforms come across our bench every week. The typical failures are predictable: K-type thermocouple drift (cavity overshoots or undershoots by 20–40 °C), a stuck relay under the 2–3 kW heating element (the element will not switch off and the safety thermostat trips), a blown IGBT transistor in an induction zone (the zone clicks but the cookware does not heat), a SteamBake steam-generator channel choked with calcium, an electromagnetic door lock jammed after a pyrolysis cycle.
Electrolux and AEG are one group built on shared platforms: control boards, thermocouples, steam blocks, and induction power modules are interchangeable between the brands, so a single team services both lines. We work at component level: resoldering relays and rebuilding board traces, replacing IGBTs after checking the driver board and resonant capacitor, descaling steam generators with ultrasonic cleaning, calibrating thermocouples with a digital thermometer placed in the cavity, and replacing cracked ceramic glass by exact part number. Before any repair we agree on a written estimate — no part is changed without your approval. All work carries a 3-month warranty. If a repair is not cost-effective, we will say so plainly and return the appliance with no obligation.

Common problems we fix
- SteamBake steam generator calcification — no steam or weak steam output, oven overheats
- Induction IGBT module failure — zone clicks but does not heat
- Oven thermocouple drift — temperature does not match the setting, baked goods burn or undercook
- AEG pyrolysis door lock mechanism stuck — door will not open after self-cleaning cycle
- Cracked ceramic cooktop glass replacement
- Range hood electronic speed controller failure — fan does not switch speeds or runs on one speed only
- Coffee machine water pump weak or no pressure — pump wear or valve blockage
- Oven control board relay stuck — heating element will not turn off
- Microwave door switch failure — unit starts and stops randomly
Detailed problem guides
Pick a symptom — we walk through the causes, what you can check yourself, and when to bring it in.
Electrolux and AEG oven electronics: SteamBake, thermocouples, and relay boards
Electrolux EOD6P and EOF6P series ovens, along with their AEG SteamBake and SteamCrisp counterparts, share a common electronic platform with digital temperature control, a steam generator, and an electromechanical door lock for pyrolysis mode. The most frequent issue is thermocouple drift: over time the K-type thermocouple loses accuracy and the oven begins to overheat or underheat the cavity by 20–40 degrees. We replace the thermocouple with a factory-calibrated unit and verify the readings with a digital thermometer placed directly inside the oven cavity.
The second typical fault is a stuck relay on the control board. The relay switches a 2–3 kW heating element, and under constant heating cycles the internal contacts weld together. The result is that the heating element will not turn off, the oven overheats, and the safety thermostat trips. We resolder the relay, inspect the board traces for burn damage, and restore any compromised sections. The SteamBake steam generator is a separate topic: calcium from Riga tap water clogs the generator channels within 2–3 years and steam stops reaching the cavity. We fully disassemble the generator, remove scale using ultrasonic cleaning, or replace the unit entirely if the channels are irreversibly blocked.
Induction cooktop IGBT repair and ceramic glass replacement
Electrolux EHI and AEG MaxiSense induction cooktops work by generating a high-frequency electromagnetic field through IGBT transistors. Each heating zone has its own IGBT module, resonant capacitor, and driver board. When a mains voltage spike occurs or ventilation is blocked causing overheating, the IGBT transistor fails: the zone clicks on activation, the indicator shows power, but the cookware does not heat. We diagnose each zone individually, replace the blown IGBT, check the resonant capacitor (which often fails simultaneously), and load-test the hob with real cookware.
A separate area of work is cracked ceramic glass replacement. The glass on induction and ceramic hobs cracks from point impact, uneven heating, or thermal shock. Using a hob with cracked glass is categorically unsafe — moisture penetrates to the electronics and can cause a short circuit. We order the glass by exact model article number from a verified supplier, fully disassemble the hob, install the new glass with the factory seal, and verify the unit is watertight. The entire process takes 5–10 working days depending on glass availability in stock.
