Robot vacuum will not charge or find its dock — repair in Riga
If your robot vacuum has stopped charging, will not return to its base or the battery dies within minutes, the most common causes are a worn-out battery, oxidised dock contacts or a faulty charging circuit. Likely causes
- Worn lithium-ion battery — After 2–3 years of daily use the cells lose capacity and the robot dies within minutes of leaving the dock.
- Oxidised or dirty dock contacts — Dust and oxidation on the charging pads break the circuit — a frequent issue in humid rooms.
- Failed dock-station power supply — The external adapter no longer outputs the correct voltage or is completely dead — easily checked with a multimeter.
- Damaged charging circuit on the mainboard — The charging MOSFET or controller has burned out after a power surge or water ingress.
- Battery BMS module failure — The protection board blocks both charge and discharge and the robot appears completely dead even with good cells.
What you can check yourself
- Turn the robot off and wipe the charging contacts on both the robot and the dock with a dry cloth or isopropyl alcohol.
- Check whether the dock indicator lights up when plugged in — if not, the power supply is the culprit.
- Remove the battery for 1–2 minutes and reinsert it to reset the BMS protection.
- Try a different wall socket and make sure the dock sits on a hard surface with at least 1 m of clear space around it.

If after these checks the robot still will not charge, the unit needs professional service. We load-test the battery capacity, measure the charging circuit on the mainboard and, if required, assemble a new battery pack from SONY, MOLICEL or SAMSUNG lithium cells with a 6-month warranty.
