Xiaomi and Mijia vacuum repair

Xiaomi and Mijia robot vacuum (X10+/X20+, Mi Robot, 1C) and G10/G11 cordless repair. LDS turret, batteries, Error 1/12/17, Mi Home app.

3-month warranty

We repair every Xiaomi-ecosystem vacuum — robots (Mijia 1C, the Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop line, Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E10/S10+/X10+/X20+) and cordless stick models (Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner G10/G11, Mi Handheld 1C). On the robots the LDS laser turret (Error 1), battery pack (Error 12) and clogged fan channel (Error 17) are the well-known weak spots of the STYTJ02YM, Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P and early 1C units. On the cordless G-series the most common jobs are battery pack rebuilds with fresh 21700-format Li-ion cells, brush-bar motor restoration, trigger switch repair and dock servicing.

Fast on-site diagnostics, warranty on every job, original or tested spare parts depending on what the model needs. After any repair we re-pair the device with your Mi Home or Xiaomi Home account before handover.

  • Error 2 — front bumper stuck or oxidised bumper switch contacts
  • Error 3 / Error 7 — wheel suspended in the air or main wheel motor fault
  • Error 5 / Error 6 — main brush or side brush jammed
  • Error 12 — low battery, cells no longer hold their rated capacity
  • Error 17 — fan motor failure, weak suction
  • Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app loses the device or cannot connect to 5 GHz Wi-Fi
  • Xiaomi G10/G11 battery will not hold a charge — runtime down to a few minutes

Xiaomi and Mijia robot specifics — Mi Home, LDS and Error 1/12/17

Xiaomi, Mi, Mijia and Viomi robots historically share many components with early Roborock models — mainboards, the LDS turret, wheel modules and sensors are often interchangeable. That shared heritage lets us quickly pinpoint the usual weak spots: LDS laser sensor failure, wheel encoder wear, cold BGA solder joints on the mainboard and broken bumper micro-switches.

The LDS laser turret is the most mechanically stressed assembly — the bearing spins at over a thousand revolutions per minute. After 1.5 to 2 years of heavy use the STYTJ02YM, Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P and early 1C units throw Error 1: the turret whines, clicks or stops outright. We open the turret on the bench, replace the bearing and drive belt, then verify laser spin speed with diagnostic software before final calibration. Error 12 (low battery) and Error 17 (fan motor failure) are often misread. Error 12 can be triggered not only by worn cells but also by oxidised charging contacts or a failed dock power brick, while Error 17 most often means a clogged air channel or HEPA filter rather than a burned-out motor. We always check the cheaper causes before swapping parts, and after any repair we re-pair the robot with your Mi Home or Xiaomi Home account.

Xiaomi G-series and Xiaomi-ecosystem cordless vacuums

The Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner G10 and G11 use 21700-format cylindrical Li-ion cells — packs of a similar format are used in the Dreame V-series and Roidmi X20/X30, since Dreame and Roidmi are sub-brands within the Xiaomi ecosystem. Battery degradation is the most common issue: after 1.5–2 years runtime drops to just a few minutes. We rebuild the pack with fresh, premium Li-ion cells and fit a new BMS board for correct charge/discharge control. This is not a simple cell swap — we restore the full energy management system and run a complete charge cycle before handover. Warranty — 6 months.

Beyond batteries we work on everything else: brush-bar motor failures (hair and fibre wrapped around the spindle overload the motor; less often, worn brush-bar bearings), HEPA filter clogging (suction drops even with a visually clean filter), trigger switch contact wear after 2–3 years of daily use (vacuum will not start or pulses on and off), charging issues (battery, dock contacts or power adapter) and LED indicator errors that point to the BMS or control board. We diagnose and resolve all of these in our service centre.
