3-month warranty

At the SATER service centre, Silmachu iela 6 in Riga, we carry out professional iRobot Roomba robot vacuum repairs — from compact 600-series units to the latest j9+ and Combo j9+ models with the Clean Base auto-empty dock. Our engineers have more than 30 years of experience in home-electronics repair — SATER has been operating since 1993 and our history traces back to Workshop No. 2 of the Soviet-era Elektrons factory. The Roomba i, j and s series rely on built-in cameras and sensors for navigation that can lose accuracy over time; we diagnose and restore these systems at component level. We also repair Clean Base suction motors, rubber main extractors, side-brush gear mechanisms, cliff sensors and wheel encoders. For battery rebuilds we use top-grade SONY, SAMSUNG, MOLICEL and PANASONIC cells backed by a 6-month warranty. All other repairs carry a 3-month warranty. We have 186 Google reviews with an average rating of 4.3 stars. On-site diagnostics are fast and obligation-free — if you decide not to proceed, the device goes back to you. Call +371 67377002 or visit us in person on weekdays and Saturdays from 09:00 to 16:00.

iRobot Roomba i/j/s series navigation and sensor repair

The iRobot Roomba i, j and s lines use built-in cameras and infrared sensors for navigation rather than the LiDAR turret found on many competing models. This system lets the robot recognise rooms and build a map, but it is sensitive to low light and lens contamination. On the Roomba j7+ and j9+ an additional front-facing object-recognition camera helps avoid obstacles on the floor — loss of its calibration means the robot may drive into pet waste or cable tangles.

Our engineers diagnose the camera module, inspect the lens for cleanliness and focus accuracy, analyse sensor data through the iRobot diagnostic mode and, where necessary, replace the camera or sensor board. Cliff sensors frequently become dusty or dirty, causing the robot to refuse to leave the dock — we usually resolve this with thorough cleaning and calibration. Bumper-sensor sticking is another common fault that makes a Roomba drive in circles: we disassemble the bumper, clean the mechanics and replace worn parts. After every sensor repair we run a full test-clean cycle to confirm that navigation works correctly across all zones of the room.

Roomba Clean Base dock and auto-empty system service

The Clean Base auto-empty dock is one of the key advantages of Roomba i+, j+ and s9+ models: it vacuums dust out of the robot bin immediately after a cleaning cycle. Over time the dock suction motor can wear out or become clogged, producing loud noise without effective suction or stopping entirely. We repair and replace Clean Base motors, clear the air paths and inspect the electrical contacts between the dock and the robot.

Another frequent issue is corrosion or dirt on the robot contact pads, which prevents Clean Base from recognising the robot and starting the emptying cycle. We clean the contacts, check the contact springs and replace the dock power board if needed. For battery issues — if a Roomba dies in 15 minutes or fails to return to the dock — we rebuild the battery with fresh SONY, SAMSUNG, MOLICEL or PANASONIC lithium cells and a new BMS board, backed by a 6-month warranty. SATER has been operating since 1993 at Silmachu iela 6, Riga, and our 186 Google reviews with a 4.3-star rating speak to the quality of our work.
