3-month warranty

At the SATER service centre, Silmachu iela 6 in Riga, we carry out professional Hoover robot vacuum repairs — from basic RBT-series models with random navigation to the latest H-GO series with LiDAR laser mapping. Our engineering team has more than 30 years of experience in home-electronics repair — SATER has been operating since 1993 and our history traces back to the legendary Workshop No. 2 of the Soviet-era Elektrons factory. Hoover robot vacuums are gaining popularity in Latvia thanks to their affordable price point and adequate feature set for daily cleaning. However, these models often develop specific issues: navigation sensor calibration loss, mechanical wear of the main brush motor, charging dock contact corrosion in humid environments, and battery capacity degradation after 2–3 years of intensive use. Our technicians work on Hoover robots at component level — we diagnose the mainboard with an oscilloscope, verify sensor signals and solder SMD components with a hot-air station. For battery rebuilds we use top-grade SONY, SAMSUNG, MOLICEL and PANASONIC lithium cells backed by a 6-month warranty. All other repairs carry a 3-month warranty. We have 186 Google reviews with an average rating of 4.3 stars. On-site diagnostics are fast and obligation-free — if you decide not to proceed, the device goes back to you. Call +371 67377002 or visit us in person on weekdays and Saturdays from 09:00 to 16:00.

Popular models we repair

  • Hoover H-GO 320
  • Hoover H-GO 300
  • Hoover RBT001 011
  • Hoover HGO730L
  • Hoover RBC 090

Common problems we fix

  • Navigation sensor failure — robot crashes into furniture or vacuums the same spot repeatedly
  • Main brush motor jammed — brush will not spin or runs with intermittent grinding noise
  • Charging dock contact corrosion — robot does not recognise the base or fails to charge
  • Battery swelling — pack deforms and the robot cover no longer closes properly
  • LiDAR unit malfunction — in the H-GO series the laser stops spinning or produces an incorrect map
  • Wi-Fi module failure — the app cannot see the robot or drops the connection every few minutes
  • Wheel motor failure — robot spins in circles or stops due to lost traction on one side
  • Dustbin sensor error — robot reports a full bin even though it is empty

Hoover H-GO and RBT series navigation system repair

Hoover robot vacuum navigation systems differ by model line. The older RBT and RBC models use simple random-bounce navigation with infrared proximity sensors and a mechanical bumper — these robots do not plan a route but wander around the room until they have covered the whole area. The most common fault on these units is a stuck bumper sensor or dust-clogged IR sensors, which cause the robot to change direction constantly or stop altogether.

In the H-GO series (H-GO 300, H-GO 320, HGO730L) Hoover introduced LiDAR laser navigation that lets the robot scan the room and build an accurate map. The LiDAR module uses a spinning laser beam, and its main weak points are bearing wear (producing a distinctive whistling or grinding noise), motor stall and optical lens contamination. Our engineers diagnose the LiDAR module with an oscilloscope, replace motor bearings or the entire assembly, and carry out a full calibration after the repair to ensure accurate map generation. After every navigation repair we run a test-clean cycle across multiple rooms.

Hoover robot battery rebuilds and charging system repair

Hoover robot vacuums use lithium-ion battery packs ranging from 2 200 mAh to 3 200 mAh depending on the model. After 300–500 charge cycles the pack loses 20–30 % of its original capacity and the robot can no longer complete a full cleaning run. At the SATER service centre we rebuild batteries with fresh SONY, SAMSUNG, MOLICEL or PANASONIC lithium cells, often offering higher capacity than the factory pack. Every battery carries a 6-month warranty and we replace the BMS (Battery Management System) board if it is damaged.

Charging issues are not always battery-related — the dock power supply may be delivering incorrect voltage, or the contacts between the robot and the base may be corroded. In humid environments contact corrosion is especially common. We check the entire charging chain from the wall socket to the battery BMS module and fix the problem at its root cause. Our 186 Google reviews with a 4.3-star rating speak to the quality and honesty of our work since 1993 at Silmachu iela 6, Riga.
